Research work

I investigate how to make machine learning models, and neural networks in particular, trustworthy when applied to high-stakes settings in which human agents are involved.  I approach this problem through a combination of theoretical modeling, novel architectural designs, and interaction with a human-in-the-loop through explanations and other kinds of communication.
