Series

DISI Seminars: are meant as the primary venue to discuss scientific and research issues that are of interest to the Department as a whole. Our students, researchers and academics will have the opportunity to network and to share knowledge and experience with renowned invited speakers, who lead their research at the highest standards through a multi- and interdisciplinary approach.
One of the objectives of this series is to foster interaction across different research areas, in a horizontal perspective ranging from engineering to computer science. We strongly believe that cooperation and interdisciplinary skills are fundamental pillars on which to lay the foundations of successful research

PI StoriesPI Stories:  the aim of the seminars is to provide the opportunity to our PhD students to learn the success stories of some of the most talented researchers in the world. Each speaker will present a research project she led as a principal investigator. The presentation will cover the scientific scope of the project and the most important results the project achieved. We solicit the speakers also to share their own experience of turning a research idea into a successful project winning a competitive grant.

DISI Industrial Workshops: a series of meetings to allow an ongoing dialogue between the companies and students of the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science. The meeting aims at bringing the students closer to the requirements of the business world through the presentation of concrete case studies applied to innovative technologies and methodologies.
